वैशंपायन उवाच अपयाते तु राधेये दुर्योधनपुरोगमाः अनीकेन यथास्वेन शरैरार्च्छन्त पाण्डवम्
M. N. Dutt: Vaishampayana said After the son of Radha had fled away fi the battle-field all other heroes, headed Duryodhana attacked Arjuna with respective detachments.
बहुधा तस्य सैन्यस्य व्यूढस्यापततः शरैः अभियानीयमाज्ञाय वैराटिरिदमब्रवीत्
AI Translation: When the army of the enemy, arrayed in many ways, was falling on him with arrows, Vairāṭa, understanding that he was being attacked, said this:

सुप्रसन्नमना वीर कुरुष्वैनं प्रदक्षिणम् अत्रैव चाविरोधेन एष धर्मः सनातनः
AI Translation: With a very joyful mind, O hero, perform this circumambulation. And in this very place, without contradiction, this is the eternal Dharma.
यदि मे प्रथमं द्रोणः शरीरे प्रहरिष्यति ततोऽस्य प्रहरिष्यामि नास्य कोपो भविष्यति
AI Translation: If Drona first strikes my body, then I will strike him, and he will not be angry.
अस्याविदूरे तु धनुर्ध्वजाग्रे यस्य दृश्यते आचार्यस्यैष पुत्रो वै अश्वत्थामा महारथः
